Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The
Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Maryland, College Park invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in our Chemistry and Biochemistry Programs. This is a 12-month, non-tenured position with the possibility of renewal. The Programs are responsible for the chemical and biochemical education of students in chemistry, biochemistry, biological sciences and engineering and have annual enrollments of more than 7000 students. Successful candidates must be outstanding classroom instructors who have a strong commitment to undergraduate science education. Duties will include teaching two (2) undergraduate General or Organic Chemistry lecture courses each term, and other related instructional duties as required. A Ph.D. Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related disciplines is required. The expected start date is August 15, 2022.
