Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Institute Assistant will provide operational, logistical, and administrative support, as necessary, in the development and production of programming relating to the Institute for Robust Quantum Simulation. The Institute Assistant will report to the Director of Operations. Ideal candidates are graduate or undergraduate students.

- This position is only open to students currently enrolled in a Graduate program at the University of Maryland, College Park who possess a valid UMD ID and access to UMD applications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), GSuite (Gmail, Drive, Meet, Calendar, Doc, Sheets, Slides, Forms), and basic marketing software (Publisher, Canva, AdobeAcrobat).
This position requires the ability to spend ½ week to 1 ½ weeks out of Maryland for out-of-town events.

- Previous administrative experience and proficiency with project management or event planning are preferred.
- STEM background is preferred but not required.
