In 1957, the County of Westchester bought the 360-acre John Hartford estate in Valhalla and designated 218 acres for the community college. Job Description:

The English Language Institute seeks a part-time Adjunct Teacher/ESL to teach English as a Second Language remotely or in-person at several Westchester County locations on various schedules.  Candidates will provide English language instruction to a culturally diverse adult student body and will use a communicative, student-centered approach to increase students' English language skills. 


Requirements:

The incumbent is required to have an MA TESOL or applied linguistics degree and a minimum of one-year of adult ESL/EFL teaching experience.  (Note:  In some cases, candidates are considered for hire based on the strength of either training or teaching experience.) The successful candidate must also possess a commitment to excellent teaching and to the goals of a community college.

 


Additional Information:

Hourly Rate of Pay: $55.61 per hour. No benefits.
