The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders has more than 50 cancer specialists and 250 healthcare professionals representing many different areas of medical and administrative services across 16 locations throughout North Texas. Medical Assistants are responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of clinic. This position will split their time between 2 locations in Fort Worth & Weatherford.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Must be appropriately certified.
  • Must be able to communicate with patients, peers, physicians and the general public.
  • Must have telephone communication and etiquette skills.
  • Must have basic computer skills, including word processing, keyboarding and ability to learn computerized scheduling system.
  • Professional appearance, able to handle multiple tasks, and be a team player.
