General Function:
As the most senior leader of the Community Resource Centers (CRC) program, this position is responsible for the integrated service centers in Arlington, Lake Stevens, and Sultan, as well as related programs at those sites and the Sultan Thrift Store. The most essential functions of this position are community engagement, fundraising, relationship building, and strategic planning to make and keep the program self-sufficient while providing the highest level of service to our communities.
Principal Activities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the CRC’s programs, ensuring they meet the needs of diverse populations and organization’s strategic vision and goals.
- Ensure quality services are offered to the people we serve.
- Identifies, develops, and secures contracts and/or funding, and grows the program to meet the need in the community as well as to ensure program sustainability.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with partners, funders, legislators, and regulators.
- Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Ensure timely reporting to stakeholders.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to staff ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and objectives.
- Provide professional development opportunities and mentorship to staff members to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
- Create performance measures for team members and implement plans to track performance.
- Develop and manage budgets for program, ensuring fiscal responsibilities and sustainability; Ensure the program operates within budget targets.
- Negotiate contract revisions and additions with funders and governmental entities.
- Participate in local, state, and national committees, and assist with legislative advocacy efforts.
- Works closely with their leadership team to identify and resolve programmatic challenges in a timely manner.
- Expand program visibility and messaging through multiple media platforms.
- Is a member of the VOAWW Leadership Team and actively participates as such and collaborates with other programs.
- Is the overall leader and therefore acts as the face and voice of the Community Resource Centers to the public.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or 5+ years of experience in a relevant field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in human services program creation and delivery, as well as with proven leadership capabilities.
- Experience in community organizing efforts preferred.
- Proven budgeting and fiscal management experience.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to lead, direct and support staff.
- Financial acumen and experience in budget management, fundraising, and grant writing.
- Ability to work effectively with government agencies, contractors, donors, other human service providers, faith community, etc.
- Ability to demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations.
- Ability to pass and maintain an acceptable background check record per State guidelines.
- Effectively utilize the organization’s HRIS to manage employee data, track performance metrics, and facilitate HR processes. Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of staff information, training, and certification within the HRIS.
