Depending on experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the LVN or Sr. LVN level. LVN with less than 2 years experience range is $30.90 - $38.41. Sr. LVN with more than two years experience range is $34.20 - $42.52

Under direct supervision of the clinic manager and the general supervision of the clinic providers and licensed nursing staff, performs a wide variety of patient care activities in support of clinic activity requiring specific knowledge and training in patient care duties within business and professions code of the State of California and/or TJC regulations. Duties include but are not limited to patient triage processing, preparation, and assistance with patient examinations, administering medications, drawing blood, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, and patient education. As needed, the LVN Resource assists with front office functions including patient scheduling, environmental care functions, equipment/supply management, and cleaning/disinfecting the clinic environment. Other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSLicensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - issued by the state of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
A minimum of two (2) years previous LVN experience in direct patient care to be considered for Sr. level LVN.
Skills in accurately taking and recording vital signs, height and weight; administering medication including injections; interviewing patients; and collecting specimens.
Knowledge of the normal range of values for vital signs, emergency procedures, and of basic lab and infection control procedures; standard items used to stock exam rooms.
Proven knowledge of the patient flow process in order to efficiently monitor appointments, patients and available physicians.
Recent experience in a similar role and setting Knowledge in medical terminology, online scheduling, universal precautions, and proper use of body mechanics.
Demonstrated knowledge of the patient flow process in order to efficiently monitor appointments, patients and available physicians.
General knowledge of pharmaceuticals and able to process PARs.
Proven ability to serve as a resource and effectively lead and mentor teams. Ability to take initiative, prioritize demands and work in a team environment.

- Three (3) years of experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and/or a Pediatrics environment.
- Bilingual speaking in Mandarin.
- Proven front office experience.
- Experience with EPIC and Cadence module.
- Experience with Point of Care Testing.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and/or process improvement.
- Procedures experience.
- Pediatrics experience.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $71,410 - $88,782 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $34.20 - $42.52
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
