Job Responsibilities
Purpose of the Position: Under supervision, plays a pivotal role in supporting various HR functions within Cobb & Douglas Public Health. Responsible for assisting with day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, internship/volunteer program and other related activities. The ideal candidate should understand HR best practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.
Essential Functions (include, but are not limited to):
- Coordinate new employee onboarding activities, including orientation sessions and the completion of necessary paperwork.
- Assist with training initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge, aligned with organizational goals.
- Co-facilitate training sessions on HR-related topics, and other relevant areas.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university OR two years of human resource experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the state personnel disciplines, classification, compensation benefits, etc.
- Knowledge of state personnel rules and regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ability to use human resource-specific computer software (PeopleSoft, MUNIS, Workday)
Salary Information: $24/ Hr. | Up to 29 hrs./ week | No Benefits
