The Child Language Ability Laboratory at the University of Houston seeks a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to the successful completion of an NIH grant examining dialect detection in school-age Black children, https://reporter.nih.gov/search/4WOTGphx-0OKUA4mUUxl3Q/project-details/10597841. The project will involve eye-tracking data collection and analysis as well as behavioral studies employing norm-referenced testing and language sampling.

The postdoctoral researcher’s responsibilities are:

• design/develop studies;
• collect, manage, store, and analyze data;
• write manuscripts and proposals; present at conferences; and hone professional development skills.

Requires singular knowledge of a specialized advanced professional discipline or the highest level of general business knowledge, normally acquired through attainment of a directly job-related terminal degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
