Job Description:
Mothers Against Addiction is seeking a dedicated Chief Operating Officer (COO) to manage our organization's daily operations and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This is a volunteer position, ideal for individuals passionate about making a significant impact in the fight against addiction and eager to gain valuable leadership experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Manage program coordinators and support services to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with the Interim CEO and other board members to achieve organizational goals.
- Support the development and implementation of programs and initiatives.
- Represent the organization at events and meetings.
- Prepare to transition into the CEO role, competing with the VP and CMO for the position.
Implementing SOPs:
- Analyze current operational processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop comprehensive SOPs for all key operational activities.
- Train staff and volunteers on new procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Continuously monitor and refine SOPs to adapt to organizational growth and changes.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, or Microsoft Office (or equivalent software).
- Experience in operations management or related fields.
- Passion for supporting families and individuals affected by addiction.
- Interest in eventually serving as CEO for a two-year term before transitioning to a board position.

- An individual eager to gain experience working with boards and leading a nonprofit.
