The Radiology Services Supervisor supervises licensed technologists providing diagnostic and patient care services. Monitors staff utilization and productivity, reviews test results to ensure appropriate application of equipment and imaging systems. Oversees operations of radiology services, ensuring adherence to productivity and quality standards, as well as internal policy and external regulations. Adjusts protocols as needed to achieve high quality results. Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
Recommends improvements to departmental procedures and policies to provide patients with the highest quality services. Trains radiology technologists on new techniques, systems, operations and regulations. Mentors staff in meeting professional goals and developing growth areas. Consults with radiology leaders on developing strategies for performance improvement. Assists management in coordinating staff development, training, and competency assessment.Communicates regularly across services to assure quality diagnostic services, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams related to improvements in patient care or operations. Participates in recruiting and conducts new employee orientation. Evaluates performance and competency and defines development goals. Recommends changes in staffing and budget to ensure the efficient operation of Radiology. Serves as a role model for assigned staff. Must be proficient and comfortable with all protocols and equipment across the department to help shadow and re-educate technologists on workflows. This role will provide patient care as needed. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSNine (9) years of related experience, education/training; OR a Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration or related area plus five (5+) or more years of relevant experience/training.
Licensed technologist in a radiology modality.
Experience with subject matter knowledge of a radiology modality, with ability to apply principles to an acute care setting to ensure operations meet regulatory standards.
- California Radiology Technologist- Fluoroscopy (CRT-F).
- Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)).
- Three years lead role and/or supervisory experience.
- Venipuncture certification.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $101,200 - $192,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $48.47 - $92.05
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
