Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

Assistant Director of Ticket Operations provides oversight and supervision of ticket operations for men’s basketball including the coordination of ticket sales, allocation of priority seating and game management for all home events. Responsible for the recruitment, hiring and scheduling of event staff for ticketed events. Coordinate internship program and provide leadership and annual training. Communications lead for all inbound inquiries through email and text messaging providing direction on responses with the focus on a high level of customer service. Employee must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in order to interact with season ticket holders and donors by providing a superior level of customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:
  • A minimum of three (3) – four (4) years of experience in a collegiate ticket office or similar environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Possess strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Detail oriented and strong organization skills. 
  • Ability to set goals and monitor progress.
  • Motivate staff to perform and set a positive example. Experience with Paciolan.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes some evening, weekend and holidays. Some team travel may be required.

  • Extensive knowledge of Paciolan preferred.

Physical Demands

While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee operates a computer and other office devices such telephones, copy machines, ticket printers, fax machines, etc; Regularly communicates via telephone, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information. The scope of this position requires weekend and evening work with some team travel (Non-standard work hours). Constantly moves about the facility and event site before, during and after events; Standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, balancing and lifting up to 30 pounds.
