The Arc began as a group of parents and concerned individuals who wanted more for their children. It continues to be a grassroots organization with over 730 chapters. All are committed to working at local, state and federal levels to promote and protect human rights and help people achieve full and satisfying lives.

Description
The Arc, Ocean County Chapter Inc. is currently in need of an experienced HR Coordinator to recruit and provide support and follow up on daily operations. The ideal candidate would be responsible for handling the new hire onboarding process, including recruiting and interviewing. The Coordinator will also be responsible for working with our employees on benefits administration, conduct internal trainings to support growth and development of staff, and manage employee relations and investigation issues. Strong communication skills necessary for success in this role. This is a full time, on-site position.

 

Location: Brick, NJ

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9-5pm, Full Time, In-Person Position


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Recruits for all open positions including creating job ads, screening candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews and job fairs, and manages candidate pipeline.

2. Works with new hires and department managers/Directors to support the on-boarding process.

3. Ensures proper compliance with all funding source and employment requirements;


4. Administers benefits and works with the finance department to ensure billing is reconciled

5. Processes LOA requests and follows up with all paperwork and makes mandatory notifications for staffing.

6. Follows up with general inquiries from employees, management, and other Arc staff.

7. Leads internal investigations and manages day-to-day employee relations issues.


Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a Human Resources or related field; SHRM certification preferred.
  • It is preferred that the successful candidate will have 2 years working in a Human Resources role.
  • Valid NJ Driver's License with no more than 5 points.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess a high level of computer proficiency, previous HRIS experience is required.
