Role Summary
The Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer (CISO) is a dynamic executive responsible for driving innovation, learning, and equitable results by integrating AI, advanced technologies, and facilitation across all aspects of the Network. This includes enhancing educational programs, operations, fiscal management, audits, renewals, etc. Additionally, the CISO supports the Network in strategic planning through facilitation support in analysis and design related to key network systems and initiatives. The CISO also ensures that the Network complies efficiently with all reporting and audit requirements by leveraging technology and innovation strategies. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation, a skilled facilitator to lead cross-functional teams, and a strong understanding of effective compliance regulations systems. The CISO reports directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities

Innovation Integration for Equity:
-
Lead teams in developing and implementing strategies for integrating AI and advanced technologies into various network functions to achieve equitable results.

Collaborate with department heads to identify opportunities for technological enhancements in educational programs, operations, fiscal management, audits, and renewals.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented technologies and compliance programs.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Strategic Planning:

Facilitate short, medium, and long-term strategic planning sessions at a department, school, and Network-wide level.

Align innovation initiatives with the Networkstrategic goals and objectives.

Ensure that data systems are integrated for efficient and continuous reflection and learning

Leadership and Collaboration:
-
Lead cross-functional teams to execute innovation and compliance initiatives.
-
Foster a culture of innovation and compliance within the Network.
-
Collaborate with external partners, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as needed.

Compliance Oversight:
-
Lead the Network in developing systems to ensure the Network complies with all relevant reporting and audit requirements.
-
Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures.

Lead the preparation and submission of required reports and documentation to regulatory bodies.

Project Management:

Oversee the management and execution of innovation and compliance projects.
-
Provide regular updates to the Network Senior Leadership team on the status of projects and initiatives.

Support the Network with Key Initiatives and Projects as Assigned
Voices Academies Chief of Innovation and Strategy will have the following
Education and Experience:
-
Bachelors degree; Masters degree preferred.
-
Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with innovation, compliance, and strategic planning experience, preferably within an educational or non-profit organization

Proven expertise in integrating advanced technologies into educational or business processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of and experience working with socio-economically challenged communities preferred

Strong facilitation, strategic planning, project management, and organizational skills.

Ability to think critically, solve problems proactively, and adapt to changing priorities.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
-
Regular requirement to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, see, read, speak, reach, stretch with hands and arms, stoop, kneel and crouch

Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs

Occasional evening and or weekend work
-
Occasional travel
-
Willingness to be trained as needed
Prior to Employment: Once an offer has been extended, a candidate must meet the following criteria to receive a final agreement:

First Aid/CPR/AED Certification

Clear Criminal Background Check

Valid TB Clearance
Key Compensation:
-
Salary range $160,000-$205,000

Position follows a 12 month work schedule
