The Retail Media Strategy & Operations Specialist role is crucial in supporting and enhancing the operational efficiency of Petco's retail media network, ensuring streamlined processes, and driving business growth through effective operational management and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
Oversee daily business operations related to Petco's retail media network.
Implement and maintain operational processes and workflows to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Organize and lead team meetings (e.g. Weekly Business Reviews); summarize meeting notes and action items.
Strategic Development
Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute RMN's annual operating plan (AOP) and strategy.
Identify and assess new business opportunities and partnerships.
Project Management:
Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
Communicate project status and updates to relevant stakeholders.
Client and Partner Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for business operations-related inquiries from clients and internal partners.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Provide support and guidance to partners on operational best practices.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Improve ways of working via structured meetings, documentation, processes and action plans across all RMN functions.
Support 3rd party / agency accountability.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Legal & Compliance
Implement workflows and processes that ensure operational alignment with legal and compliance regulations and guidelines, including contract management, billing, reporting, IAB standards, etc.
Financial Management:
Support senior management and accounting teams in billing and collections efforts as needed.
Assist with reserve tracking and analysis.
Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management.
Team Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with marketing, sales, finance, and technical teams to support overall business objectives.
Provide training and support to team members on operational processes and tools.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in business operations, preferably in retail media, digital marketing, or e-commerce.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
Experience in retail media or digital advertising operations.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Trello).
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP)

The pay ranges outlined below are presented in accordance with state-specific regulations. These ranges may differ in other areas and could be subject to variation based on regulatory minimum wage requirements. Actual pay rates will depend on factors such as position, location, level of experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws. If the regulatory minimum wage exceeds the minimum indicated in the pay range below, the regulatory minimum wage will be the minimum rate applied.
$64,800.00 - $97,200.00/ year
