Twilight Wish Foundation is a national nonprofit organization honoring and enriching the lives of deserving elderly through wish granting celebrations connecting generations. We are making the world a nicer place to age, one Twilight Wish at a time.

The Development Director is responsible for leading all development activities within the Twilight Wish Foundation (TWF) in efforts to raise funding for organization operations and its programs. The position develops, implements and monitors a comprehensive fundraising plan to expand philanthropic support of the organization including identifying and strengthening relationships with community stakeholders, actively pursuing and managing corporate and individual leads, foster strong donor and sponsor stewardship, and seeking, applying for and managing grant funding.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Design and implement a comprehensive Development Funding Plan annually which maintains the fiscal health of the organization and provides future financial resources for growth and expansion. Including but not limited to grant writing and management, corporate and individual major giving, annual appeal development and management, major gifts, third party events, and internal events.

-Develop strong relationships to foster a positive image such that companies, foundations, civic organizations, and individuals will make the Twilight Wish Foundation the local charity of choice for funding.

-Identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships with major donors and planned giving donors.

-Act as primary point of contact for funding, donations, and fundraising event inquiries.

-Work collaboratively with fundraising event chairs to offer management, production and oversight of TWF internal fundraising events. Including developing and managing production timeline, budget, and evaluation.

-Working closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and other staff members to develop and implement strategies for engaging major donors.

-Planning fundraising goals and arranging meetings with donor prospects.

-Securing large donations by identifying potential major donors and soliciting gifts. This includes legacy gifts.

-Collect, organize, and maintain a complete and accurate database record of donors and funding received. Establishes tracking tools and monitors monthly. Assist in keeping the donor database up to date.

-Deliver presentations on programs to various communities, corporate, and individual groups as needed. Speak on behalf of the organization with media outlets as needed. Attending selected networking events as needed.

-Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Knowledge

-Excellent personal, verbal and written communication skills.

-Customer service, communication and recordkeeping experience required.

-Able to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

-Solid organizational, time management and project management skills required.

-Initiative and collaborative skills indicated.

-Foster and promote business relationships

-Comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds.

-Establish rapport and build on relationships to promote mission of Twilight Wish Foundation.

-Good public speaking skills required

Qualifications

-6-8 years related experience preferred.

-Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel required; Power Point preferred.

-Major gift acquisition experience preferred.

-Bachelor's degree (required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $72,500.00 per year
