NURSING INSTRUCTOR
FRONTIER COMMUNITY COLLEGE | FAIRFIELD, IL

 

DESCRIPTION

The position is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track appointment with opportunity for
summer assignment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: teaching
assigned theory and clinical courses utilizing active learning strategies and current
educational technology; develop clinical experiences for students; serve as liaison
between clinical instructors, agency staff, and students; supervise clinical practicum;
evaluate and counsel students; evaluate clinical aspects of program; and participate
in assessment activities and online teaching. Local travel to healthcare and other
related sites is required. The ADN Program is ACEN accredited and is offered at
four sites. Current college assignment for this position is Frontier Community
College in Fairfield, IL

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s Degree in Nursing; an active, unencumbered Illinois and Indiana RN
license, and two years of clinical experience required; teaching experience preferred.
Applicants should be familiar with and able to use computer-assisted, multi-media
instruction, and innovative teaching techniques in the classroom. Must have
excellent oral, written and verbal communication skills; must be comfortable working
with a diverse population; and have the ability to make decisions in accordance with
policies, rules and regulations.

 

WAGES

Based upon education and experience. Benefits include, but are not limited to:
