Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The duties of this position include: managing IMET social media; communication via the IMET website, including quarterly on-line newsletters that include video content; producing IMET’s Annual Report together with the Executive Director and Associate Director; writing proposals to foundations; pursuing fundraising opportunities with individual donors and foundations.

Experience:
- Experience with Microsoft and Google programs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a high‐paced, high-output, mission-driven environment with little to no supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communications and customer service skills, as well as the use of independent judgment, initiative, and excellent writing and editing skills.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with high‐level officials and donors locally, nationally and internationally.
Preferences:
- Three (3) years of experience in an upper level communications or development position is highly preferred.
- Some knowledge of public relations and scientific background is desirable.
- Experience with website editing, content management systems, and Adobe software is desired.
Additional Information:
Salary range is $60,000‐$70,000. This is an exempt, regular position that includes a competitive benefits package, including State of Maryland health benefit and retirement programs. This position also offers a generous paid time off package (22 days-annual leave, 14-days-sick leave, 3 days-personal leave, as well as federal holidays.
