Senior Associate for Faculty Affairs
Job Description
The Department of Epidemiology is seeking a Senior Associate for Faculty Affairs who will provide high-level administrative support for multiple facets of the Chair’s Office, in particular faculty appointments & promotions, faculty onboarding and exit processes, faculty searches, and faculty data coordination. Candidates must possess significant organizational, writing, and process management skills. Work priorities are set by and organized around the needs of the Chair’s Office.
Schedule: M-F 8:30-5:00 Hybrid (3 days/week on-site, to be coordinated with the Sr. Administrative Coordinator to ensure office coverage M-F)
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Formalize and manage the departmental faculty appointments and promotions process.
- Develop and oversee the departmental faculty onboarding and exit processes.
- Manage monthly faculty meetings including building agendas, preparing presentations, and following up with minutes.
- Oversee and provide support to new faculty searches.
- Assist in the planning and execution of Chair’s Office events and weekly departmental seminars.
- Assist in managing faculty data and generating reports.
- Assist in developing additional department processes and procedures and reviewing/updating on an annual basis.
- Recommend new processes/procedures to maximize workflow.
- Work with the Administrative Manager to execute initiatives and manage projects on behalf of the Chair.
- Provide backup administrative support to other members of the Chair’s Office.
- Provide other administrative support, as assigned.
Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to set and manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to changing needs and goals.
- Strong virtual/hybrid meeting management skills and advanced knowledge of Zoom.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced MS Office Suite skills including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive information appropriately.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Five years in providing high level expertise.
- Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Monday.com platform or similar task management tools.
- Database management.

Starting Salary Range: $53,800 - $94,400 Annually (Commensurate with experience)
