We are searching for a talented engineer with experience in modem design to join our exciting team of innovators. In this role, you will join the system engineering team working on best-in-class modem platforms, developing innovative algorithms and leveraging our unique end-to-end design.

Description

Design and simulate state-of-the-art physical layer wireless communication algorithms with emphasis on beam management. Work closely with firmware, RF and other cross-functional teams to implement, verify and bringup beam management algorithms. Ensure that performance meets expectations. Work on next generation algorithms and implementation per roadmap.
  • In-depth knowledge of wireless communication systems (5G, LTE, 802.11) with emphasis on millimeter-wave technology (5G NR FR2, 802.11ad).
  • Ability to develop algorithms, assess performance, develop complexity-performance tradeoff, and work closely with firmware teams on implementation.
  • Familiarity with bring up process and methodology.
  • Experience with power/performance optimization.
  • BS with 3+years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of one ore more of the following areas - array signal processing, RF impairments related to mmwave deployments, firmware partitioning, firmware interface design and beamforming algorithms.


Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
