Job Description

The Department of Finance in the Opus College of Business, University of St. Thomas, Minnesota, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Finance. The position is subject to final approval.
 

We seek an outstanding candidate with the potential for excellent teaching and high-quality research in finance, and the commitment to serve the Department, College, and University. This is a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning Fall 2025. The Opus College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB International) and subscribes to several databases and WRDS. The Finance Department at the University of St. Thomas seeks to attract, retain, and develop faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds to enhance the diversity of the learning community, and to offer our students richly varied perspectives.

The department offers courses in the undergraduate program and several MBA and specialized master’s programs in business, providing multiple opportunities for teaching.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Finance (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent), or alternatively, ABD candidates with substantial completion of the Ph.D. before September 1st, 2025, will be considered. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and a demonstrated capacity to engage in scholarly research in finance. Applicants must be willing to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates from all fields of finance are welcome to apply. We are particularly interested in those specializing in derivatives and/or international finance.
