Job Summary

The University of Michigan is seeking a DAY shift Custodial Senior Supervisor to manage the day-to-day custodial operations of a designated area within the Custodial Services unit of Facilities and Operations. This position has direct responsibility for supervising 16-18 full-time regular and temporary bargained-for custodians in their assigned area. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring the custodial staff are following the appropriate procedures and delivering quality service to preserve campus health and safety. 

Please Note: The work schedule for this position is: Sunday - Thursday, 4:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

The work this department performs allows for the continuance of patient care, student housing, animal husbandry, utility distribution, snow removal, debris removal, and other critical infrastructure support. Custodial and Grounds staff are designated as critical employees which means, in the event of a University of Michigan emergency reduction in operations, including a public health emergency, suspension of academic classes, or during weather-related events, critical employees are expected to report to work.
