Campus Statement

Phoenix College (PC), the first public junior college in Arizona, welcomed its first students on September 13, 1920. In 1962, PC transitioned to a community college that is part of the Maricopa Community College District. Job Summary

The Dual Enrollment (DE) Advisors promotes, reinforces, and supports the Earl College Program (ECP) by assisting students with overcoming any obstacles to their college success. This position will facilitate comprehensive student service access for those enrolled in the Dual Enrollment in Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC) Pathways. The DE Advisor will serve by offering valuable information about the various resources available at the college.

Additional Information

Available on evenings and weekends (Saturdays are mandatory). Will host Virtual Hangouts for students to help them feel both supported and connected as we prepare for every semester.

Essential Functions

80% - Assists with plans, implements, and campus-based enrichment programs for current students and college-bound K-12 and general population students by assisting in all student services processes, including; Recruitment, Admissions, Testing, Financial Aid, and class registration
10% - Assists in coordinating various ECP Programs' initiatives and events
10% -  Assists with ECP student orientations, workshops, and ECP Programs' recruitment efforts; performs other duties as assigned.  
 

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED, and one (1) year of student services facilitation (i.e. recruitment, admissions, testing, financial aid, class registration processes) or directly related experience.

Special Working Conditions

May be required to work evenings and weekends
May be required to lift or carry up to 25lbs
May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor
