The University of Notre Dame Office of Information Technology seeks an Application Development Manager to lead a group of developers responsible for designing, delivering, supporting, and maintaining a wide variety of applications. The manager will mentor and coach direct reports and oversee projects to ensure the overall success of the team. This role will also contribute towards the team’s success by actively utilizing their software development experience to deliver solutions to meet campus partner needs.

The Application Development Manager is responsible for contributing towards the policies and strategic direction of tools, standards, and best practices related to software development. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing vendor applications and be proficient in integration technologies.

This position will be part of the Campus Admin team, which provides IT solutions and support for Facilities Design and Operations and University Operations, Events, and Safety.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of experience as an application developer or an equivalent combination of education and job experience.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience evaluating, developing, and implementing IT solutions.
  • Great attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Proven ability to learn and use new technology tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding and use of people management, project management, and customer relationship management principles, extensive experience with technical solution delivery.
  • Proficiency in use of integration (API) development technologies (PL/SQL, Ruby, Talend, Python, etc).
  • Experience providing technical support for a variety of applications to address issues from end-users.
