Position Highlights
The Management and Organizations Department at the Eller College of Management is seeking applicants for a full-time Lecturer or Senior Lecturer for an academic year (9 month), career-track teaching position. This position is open to candidates with interest in teaching courses in Management, with some preference given to those with the ability to teach courses on leadership, legal issues in business, sports management, and/or strategic management. The preferred start would be the beginning of the Spring 2025 semester (January 6, 2025.) Review of applications will begin on November 4, 2024.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach the equivalent of a 6-course load in each academic year
  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours
  • Participate in and contribute to department, college, and university service activities

 

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications for Lecturer:

  • Master's Degree, JD, or PhD in Management related field (e.g., Business Administration, Strategy, Legal Studies, Sports Management, etc.).
  • At least one year of teaching experience in person at the college or university level.
  • Must be available to teach in-person at the University of Arizona, in Tucson.

Qualifications for Senior Lecturer:

  • Master's Degree, JD, or PhD in Management related field (e.g., Business Administration, Strategy, Legal Studies, Sports Management, etc.).
  • At least six years of teaching experience in person at the college or university level.
  • Must be available to teach in-person at the University of Arizona, in Tucson.

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Completed terminal degree JD, or PhD in Management (e.g., OB, HR, Strategy), Psychology, Sociology, Legal Studies, or related field.
  • Experience designing and teaching flipped or hybrid courses.
  • Experience teaching in online or digital environments.
