Job Description

Description

Have you ever wanted to contribute to the successful development and testing of complex missile systems used in major Missile Defense System test events?

Are you passionate about working closely with DoD, contractors, and National Laboratory partners to ensure that disciplined approaches are taken in design, integration, and testing across all phases of the lifecycle for target vehicles for missile defense?

If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our team!

We are seeking a motivated and experienced integration and test lead across our missile defense targets projects.  The focus of the role is on the development, planning, cost, schedule and technical execution of several target efforts within the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and the US Navy’s Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS).  This candidate will support the existing APL Project Managers to maintain focus on integration, testing, planning, and execution.

  • Support targets as integration and test expert - lead technical meetings within APL to coordinate multiple disciplines into an integrated product
  • Coordinate test resource usage both within APL and externally, working with all stakeholders to ensure that facilities, personnel, and technical requirements are met
  • Serve as a point of contact for testing within APL and interface with MDA , PEO IWS, and International Project Arrangements that fall under PEO IWS 4.0 International Program Offices, Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division Detachment White Sands (WSMR), Missile Defense Ranges (Wallops, Hebrides, PMRF, others), and Contractor Organizations
