Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, animal handling, and restraint. Ensure compliance with all Infectious disease protocols.

Minimum Experience/Education

At least one year of equine veterinary experience and ample large animal experience. At least one year experience working in a veterinary setting.

Department Required Skills

- Extensive large animal handling experience.
- Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning cheimcals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all times and mantain professionalism in emotionally charged/ challenging situations.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently with or without a resonable accommodation.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Accuracy in recording
- Works well iwth minimal supervison
- Prioritizes tasks appropriately according to importance and urgency.
