Job Description
DESCRIPTIONAs part of the only academic health system in San Diego, the Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center is a hub of discovery and innovation. The technologies, techniques and treatments we develop are setting standards in cardiac care.
Under the supervision of the on duty charge nurse, the hospital telemetry technician carries out dysrhythmia monitoring responsibilities. Monitors, identifies, and reports to RN cardiac rhythms, arrhythmias, and any changes in baseline rhythm. Communicates with physicians and nurses any changes in rate, rhythm, measurements. Acts as resource to staff. Achieves trust in professional relationship with nursing staff and physicians.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Successful completion of a telemetry technician course/and or ECG training course.
A minimum of one (1) year of Telemetry Tech experience.
- Telemetry Tech Certification.
- One (1) year of Telemetry Tech experience in an ICU environment.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $60,990 - $60,990 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $29.21 - $29.21
