Position Description

Lincoln Land Community College is looking for qualified part-time instructors to teach sonography courses at our main campus in Springfield for daytime classes. This position requires didactic and lab instruction per program needs and may include a variety of topics such as abdominal, small parts, obstetrics/gynecologic, vascular, and cardiac sonography.

As Adjunct Faculty at LLCC, you will receive one paid absence per semester, free access to the LLCC Fitness Center (during available hours), a travel stipend if traveling over twenty miles to campus, and tuition wavier benefit for adjunct faculty and their dependents under the age of 22.  Adjuncts with qualifying assignments will also participate in the State Universities Retirement System (SURS).  To learn more about all adjunct benefits, please visit our website. Position Requirements

Qualified candidates must have current professional ARDMS registry credentials in one or more of the following sonography specialty areas: abdomen, obstetrics/gynecology, vascular, adult echocardiography; a minimum of two years full-time related occupational experience as a sonographer preferably within the last 3 years; Bachelor’s or an Associate’s degree in the teaching field or a combination of equivalent related education and experience; demonstrated scanning competencies in one or more of the following sonography specialty areas: abdomen, obstetrics/gynecology, vascular, adult echocardiography. Teaching experience in the discipline is preferred and credentials must correlate with needed instructional topics. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.
