As an adjunct in English & Humanities, your instructional responsibilities will involve teaching in-person, remote, and online first year Composition, Dual-Credit, and Co-Req courses as needed. There is a possibility that you may also teach literature, technical writing, or humanities, as needed. You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop innovative curriculum to meet the needs of our diverse population of students. Student retention and success are your top priorities. You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students’ critical thinking skills. You may be assigned classes on the main campus or in one of the local high schools.
*Please note: This is a face-to-face Adjunct Instructor position.*
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in English, Writing, Literature (any), or Composition & Rhetoric;
- Or Master’s Degree with eighteen graduate-level credit hours in any of the above disciplines, from a regionally accredited college/university.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of recent experience teaching college-level Composition, Dual Credit, and Co-Req courses;
- Experience using LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, etc.);
- Experience teaching online.
