POSITION SUMMARY

The Dual Enrollment Program Coordinator will support the administrative and clerical needs of MCC’s dual enrollment program, while also providing leadership in the planning, development, implementation, and assessment of the dual enrollment program. Primary duties consist of advising and providing support to students, parents, and high school and college counselors and employees regarding dual enrollment and career pathway opportunities, policies and procedures. This position is a full-time academic year position, with part-time requirements in the summer months. Remote work options may be available and can be negotiated based on mutual agreement.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Advises students, parents, faculty, and staff regarding dual enrollment and career pathways opportunities, policies, and procedures.
  • Manages the dual enrollment application, registration, and pre- and post-enrollment advising process which involves: coordinating with high school staff, ensuring accurate record keeping and enrollment of students, and communicating with enrolled students and families.
  • Collaborates with multiple departments and units within the college to provide consistent and excellent student-focused service for dual enrollment students.
  • Coordinates marketing material, recruitment, and outreach activities in collaboration with appropriate College personnel and partnering school site administrators. Promotes and encouraged dual-enrolled students to matriculate to the College upon high school graduation.
  • Plans and executes innovative career pathway and dual enrollment events and programs.
  • Cultivates relationships and manages communication with various populations including dual enrollment students and families, high school faculty, guidance counselors and administrators at partner high schools, staff and faculty at Miles Community College, staff at Office of Commission of Higher Education (OCHE) and Office of Public Instruction (OPI), and other statewide dual enrollment and grant coordinators.
  • Represents Miles Community College at high school visits, on- and off-campus events, as well as regional, state, and national trainings, meetings, and conferences.
  • Serve as an advisor for dual enrollment students and provide supplemental support for general advising functions for MCC as a whole. This may include pre-enrollment and orientation advising, transfer advising, placement test administration, and other functions as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Three or more years of successful K-12 or higher education
related experience required.

 

Experience: Excellent interpersonal skills including professionalism, friendliness, and positive attitude; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Strong organizational skills; Evidence of self-initiation and self-motivation for independent follow-through on projects; Ability to understand, summarize and present written information; Demonstrated commitment to inclusivity and working with diverse populations; Evidence of verbal presentation skills; Possesses technological literacy including experience in the use of computer software, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation, internet, social media and email applications; Ability to travel and represent MCC in a professionalsetting; Ability to intermittently work a non-traditional schedule including evenings and weekends. Valid Montana driver’s license or ability to obtain Montana driver’s license by date of hire.
