Under the direction and supervision of the President/CEO, this position is responsible for: Supervision and the direct activities of the finance department, maintaining payroll, payroll taxes, and fiscal records, preparing financial reports for the CEO up to and including quarterly and annual budgets, for Vision Team and the Board of Directors.

This position is also responsible for preparing and coordination all financial audits (both external and internal) including 403(b), annual financial and IRS audits when/if applicable. Performs special projects for Executive Team as requested. This is a full-time, exempt-level position that reports to the President/CEO.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance.
  • Develop, recommend and supervise the implementation of policy.
  • Develop and analyze financial statements. Report changes in financial condition to CEO/President on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor G/L and A/P functions.
  • Monitor the organization's payroll and employee benefit processes.
  • Monitor accounts receivable reports.
  • Perform financial analyses of operations. Develop systems to monitor and evaluate department actuals to goals.
  • Ensure all financial and statistical reports to State and Federal Government and related agencies are filed and completed in a timely basis.
  • Ensure all fiscal reports to National Easter Seal Society are filed and completed on a timely basis.
  • Provide on-the-job training of staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations
  • Develop and monitor short-range and long-range goals for the department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field from an accredited university, or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Non-profit healthcare field a plus but not required.
  • Supervisory Experience preferred but not required (will train)
  • Five (5) years of full time equivalent experience in the accounting, controller duties and strategic leadership. Healthcare/non-profit background preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $98,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
