Philanthropy isn't all about donating money, philanthropy can mean lending your time, skills, and knowledge in any capacity.

About The Career:

  • The Development Director directs the execution of the vision, strategic planning, financial management, fundraising, and grantmaking operations that support the overall objectives of the Montrose Regional Health Foundation. The Director develops, broadens, and maximizes philanthropic support from individuals and businesses to increase awareness and support of hospital programs, initiatives and goals through philanthropic giving. This position is responsible for fund raising, managing donor relationships and the portfolio of donor prospects. The Development Director will provide strategic and administrative support for donor outreach and stewardship, prospect research, gift and pledge documentation and records. The Director represents the foundation to the public and media to communicate its mission, values and accomplishments.

All About You:

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing/ business/public relations/communications preferred.
  • Fundraising experience, preferably in a healthcare setting with evidence of continued growth through education and participation in professional fundraising organizations.
  • CFRE (Certified Fund-Raising Executive) preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in all phases of Philanthropy and/or Donor work.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills - both oral and written.
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines and goals
  • Computer skills required to manage fundraising and donor databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective and collaborative relationships with a wide set of constituencies
  • An understanding of all relevant laws and regulations governing fundraising activities and donor relations.
