Full job description

Greenwich Psychology Group is a private boutique practice with locations in Greenwich, CT, and New York City. Our clinicians have been trained at the most respected clinical institutions in the country, and most have undergone additional fellowships in their sub-specialties. We are a passionate group of psychologists and psychotherapists providing the highest quality of care for high-functioning individuals.

GPG is seeking a part-time or full-time postdoctoral fellow to join our established practice in Greenwich, CT or New York City. This position has flexible hours, fulfills requirements for CT or NY state licensure, and is comprised of 1,800 total hours (including 950 required direct hours, completed in no less than 9 months and no more than 24 months).

Candidates are encouraged to pursue licensure during the fellowship period.

Our clientele are sophisticated and expect state-of-the-art care. We are interested in excellence regardless of area of expertise. We offer excellent benefits, a competitive salary, and the opportunity to work with a team of comprehensively-trained clinicians. We also offer a beautiful workspace and state-of-the-art technology tools.

Program Description

The Postdoctoral Program at GPG is designed to support and train Postdoctoral Fellows to become confident and competent clinicians with a strong professional identity, astute clinical and assessment skills, and sense of purpose.

Fellows are trained as scholarly practitioners through a focus on direct clinical care and evidence-based practice. Skills are developed through multidisciplinary experiences in assessment, intervention, and consultation, including supervision and didactics. Multicultural competence and ethical practice are components of all areas of training. Upon completion of the training year, fellows will be prepared for licensure and for practice with individuals across the life span and diagnostic spectrum. The clinical caseload is generally 10 to 20 direct service hours per week and includes clinical and psychological assessments, individual therapy, couples therapy, and group therapy, primarily in-office but also via telehealth. The training program is flexible and tailored to the fellow’s interests and needs, based on agreement of supervisors and candidates. Although some activities are required, there is considerable room for customization in terms of clinical work.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will participate in two hours of weekly individual supervision and spend their remaining time engaged in direct patient hours, professional development, didactic training, case consultation, shadowing, community outreach, administrative projects, and documentation.
