Biology Instructor - Part Time

 

 

Primary Purpose:
Instruction in assigned Biology classes starting with the Spring 2025 semester.

 

Assignment:
• Prepare and teach assigned courses in accordance with course outlines and published course schedule.
• Collaborate with Arts and Sciences colleagues and administrators in program planning, assessment, and continuous improvement processes.
• Maintain accurate records for each course taught.
• Assist in student retention.
• Participate in college events and activities.
• Cooperate in scheduled student evaluations of instructor and space.
• Keep regular posted office hours in accordance with college policy.
• Submit all college reports in an accurate timely fashion.
• Attend instructor and departmental meetings as scheduled.
• Be responsible for professional development and maintaining professional competence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:
Required: Master's degree in Biology or closely related discipline with 18 graduate hours in Biology. Teaching experience required.
Preferred: Community college teaching experience. 

 

Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to use computers and software to support instruction, including course management software.
