Summary of Position

Full-time faculty member to serve as the MSN Health Care Leadership Program Coordinator. This 12-month faculty role has a combined administrative and teaching function. The actual course load will vary with other responsibilities, which might include curriculum development, program evaluation, reporting, and faculty recruitment and mentoring.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, a sound professional reputation, commitment to excellence in education and teaching and possess strong, collaborative decision-making skills. Actual teaching load will vary with other responsibilities but will not exceed four courses per fiscal year. This is a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure-track appointment and will be negotiable at Online Professional Faculty or Senior Online Professional Faculty level based upon academic credentials and experience. Must be able to travel to campus and recruiting events. Some nights and weekends may be required.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications

  • MSN but doctorate preferred.
  • A strong record of teaching experience appropriate at the graduate level is expected and required.
  • Substantial real-world professional clinical experience within nursing is expected and required.
  • Proficiency with current technology standards such as e-portfolios, LMS, and other higher education systems is needed.
  • Eligible to be licensed in New Hampshire

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who exhibit excellence in nursing education and clinical practice, on-line curriculum development, and program management.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Duty/Responsibility

  • Teaching; Recruiting, hiring, and managing adjunct faculty.

Duty/Responsibility

  • Developing course content and materials based on current research and best practices.
  • Curriculum review and regular updating of courses in consultation with Nursing and inter-professional colleagues, adjunct faculty instructors and with support from instructional designers, college librarians, and assessment professionals.

  • Student advising and data-informed student success initiatives.

Duty/Responsibility

  • Supporting admissions and recruiting activities, including outreach through professional involvements to prospective students, admissions application review, and regular communication with admissions and advising staff through use of CRM.

  • Serving on Nursing and college committees.
  • Assist with nursing accreditation requirements.

Duty/Responsibility

  • Coordination of practicum placements for the CPSO Nursing programs including affiliation agreements and student compliance.
