- Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education or related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
- TESOL, K-12, Special Education certification or certification from the NCCCS (i.e. Core, ASE Reading, ASE Math, etc.)
Education Preferred
- Master’s degree in Adult Education or related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
Experience Required
- Minimum three years of teaching experience in K-12 or post-secondary, Reading, Math, or ESOL.
Experience Preferred
- Community College or Adult Education teaching experience.
- Experience with distance learning and/or an alternate instructional delivery system.
- Administrative experience to include faculty oversight and classroom observation.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze data and recommend or implement procedural or process changes.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of effective instructional strategies.
