Job Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll, recording all changes as necessary to maintain accuracy
  • Managing payroll tax activities in a multi-state environment, including compliance with federal, state and local regulations
  • Preparing data for SOX Audits
  • Preparing and submitting 401K contributions to vendor
  • Processing employment verifications
  • Updating ADP with tax rate changes
  • Providing payroll/HRIS standard and ad hoc reports to stakeholders
  • Assist in the reconciliation of quarterly and year-end wage and tax statement, including W-2
  • Perform outreach to ADP to resolve issues, as necessary
  • Serve as a point of contact for all employee payroll-related questions/concerns.
  • Monitor and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees
  • Distribute payroll information to new hires
  • Work closely with Human Resources compensation-related issues
  • Work with accounting group and assist with special projects
  • Provide payroll/HRIS standard and ad hoc reports to stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working with multi-state payrolls, including California and Massachusetts
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of payroll best practices.
  • Must have knowledge of state and federal regulations or the ability to research state and federal regulations
  • Must have advanced knowledge of "Payroll" math (i.e. proration, imputed income calculations, tax calculations)
  • Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Advanced MS Excel
  • Effective communications skills, ability to interact with all levels of the company
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information

Preferred Experience

  • Public company experience
  • ADP Workforce Now, ADP Enhanced Time and Workday
  • 4 Years of payroll experience
  • Bachelors Degree or relevant experience.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now

Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $50,000.00 - $72,500.00 per year. Actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's geographical location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and knowledge.
