Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Fulfill contractual obligations for full instructional load during fall and spring semesters.
  • Provide excellence in instruction within the Business & Management Department for undergraduate students, including online courses.
  • Provide excellence in accounting instruction, including but not limited to financial accounting, managerial accounting, payroll, taxation, and economics.
  • Assist in development and evaluation of curriculum as appropriate.
  • Utilize approved textbook(s) and/or other instructional materials as approved.
  • Collaborate with administration, faculty, and staff to ensure student success.
  • Provide student guidance and support.
  • Engage in institutional service, professional development, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Business, Hospitality & Management, the Dean of Workforce Education, and/or the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
  • Complete annual mandatory compliance training.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a master's degree in accounting or economics with 18 graduate hours in the appropriate combination of accounting, taxation and financial analysis, economics or closely related field
  • OR Current CPA license
  • Demonstrated evidence of professional development growth through participation in continuing education and other related activities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An earned doctorate in business or a related field with 18 graduate hours in accounting.
  • Post-secondary teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated success with online teaching.

All degrees must be from a regionally-accredited postsecondary institution. This full-time 9-month position is eligible for continuing contract status and is contingent upon board approval and funding.
