Summary of Position

Under broad supervision of the Associate Registrar for Transfer Evaluation, the individual in this position will be responsible for managing all processes related to the evaluation and awarding of transfer credit for UNH students. As a Transfer Articulation Manager, the individual in this role must be able to efficiently process transfer credit evaluations for incoming students, award credit in the Student Information System (SIS) and collaborate with admissions and advising to support the enrollment of students across UNH. The Transfer Articulation Manager must be meticulous in ensuring the accuracy of the student record, and will also be responsible for providing service to students in person and via the phone and email.

Other minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience dealing with computerized records systems in an student, course, patient and/or customer service environment.
  • Familiarity with data processing and computer software applications for a Registrar’s office.
  • Effective communication and writing skills.
  • Analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and function professionally under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and interact with diverse individuals.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working within Ellucian’s Banner general student & DegreeWorks.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Educational Rights to Privacy Act of 1974, as Amended (FERPA) and university policies regarding and providing information about students.
  • Familiarity with the TES platform

Duty/Responsibility

  • Evaluate student transcripts from other institutions to determine transferability of credit to the University of New Hampshire in line with the credit articulations and policies of the student’s academic college.
  • Create student audits and enter transfer credits into the SIS.
  • Process transcript revisions and adjust transfer credit award/student audit accordingly.

Duty/Responsibility

  • Manage processes within the Registrar’s Office requiring credit re-evaluations, including reactivation and Transfer Credit Prior Approval.
  • Collaborate with Admissions, Advisors and colleges to ensure a seamless transfer experience for students.
  • Manage the transfer evaluation email box; respond to questions/requests from staff and students pertaining to transfer evaluation, student audit adjustments, and exception management in the degree audit system.
  • In collaboration with other Registrar office staff, support department operations to ensure an exceptional service experience to students, faculty and alumni through phone, email and the RO reception area.

Duty/Responsibility

  • Collaborate in the maintenance of the TES database and work with colleagues throughout the institution to maintain the transfer equivalency database.
  • Conduct basic training with other offices as necessary.
