Responsibilities*

The Department of Pathology at Michigan Medicine has an open Research Investigator position to join our faculty in Ann Arbor, MI. Successful candidate will also be expected to participate in project planning, data generation, interpretation and evaluation manuscript and grant writing and participate in seminars, lectures, poster sessions and presentations at national meetings. The Department's expectation for Research Investigators is to generate peer-reviewed publications of their current work and /or individual salary support on sponsored funds by the end of the fourth year of your appointment. Peer-reviewed publications are required for advancement to the Research Scientist track. Peer-reviewed publications along with independent extramural funding are required for advancement to the Research Professor Track.

Duties include:

- Bioinformatics related to epigenetic and genetic sequencing studies at the bulk and single-cell level.
- Lead research projects 
- Data generation and interpretation 
- Formulation and evaluation of manuscripts, grant writing, collaborate with members of the Chad Carr pediatric brain tumor center.

Background Screening

Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
