As a systems security & network security engineer, you can identify the tools and applications needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to develop and implement security solutions that will protect our military.
On our team, you'll troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of software applications and tools. You'll use your curiosity for technology and market trends to further research and develop security solutions. Using your experience in software development, you'll help assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls.

What You'll Work On:
Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
Implement infrastructure and cyber security controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.
Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas and leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

You Have:
4+ years of experience using Ansible to automate tasks, including Security Requirements Guide (SRG) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements to harden operating systems, consumer-off-the-shelf (COTS), and Open Source products to incorporate them into the system code base
4+ years of experience with application transport and working with orchestration platforms, including Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker
Experience with Linux, Python, Robot Framework, Jenkins, Bitbucket and Git, Visual Studio Code, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Elasticsearch
Experience working in a highly collaborative and agile software development environment, using tools for documentation and issue tracking, including Confluence and JIRA
Experience with researching, analyzing, installing, and testing software updates and security patches, troubleshooting software code issues, and reporting findings
Knowledge of developing well-designed, testable, and efficient code that meets technical requirements and assist with code review, troubleshooting code defects, reporting findings, and developing and deploying fixes
Ability to work individually and on a collaborative team, to investigate and resolve issues that span multiple applications or technologies and require involvement from technical personnel across multiple organizations
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
DoD 8140 IAT II Certification, including CompTIA Security+
Nice If You Have:
Experience with application development and application integration
Experience with DevSecOps and the tools and development that accelerate software
Experience with platform-as-a-service (PaaS)
Experience with requirements identification, engaging with stakeholders, and roadmapping new capabilities
Experience with analyzing technical and policy documentation for DoD organizations and implementing DoD directives
Knowledge of systems architecture, systems engineering, interoperability, and digitalization of information technology
Top Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
