University Theatre is a producing theatre and operates multiple facilities: Stewart Theatre, in the Talley Student Center, and the Titmus Theatre and Kennedy McIlwee Studio Theatre in Thompson Hall, along with the associated shops and classroom spaces for producing theatre.
Our mission is to present a wide variety of theatre experiences and provide spaces for campus organizations to present events. The theatre spaces are used for on and off campus organizations that present a wide variety of programs to students, staff and the general public.
Primary Purpose of Position:
- Coordinates and maintains all scheduling and calendaring of presenting events in all theatre spaces, including:
- reviewing contracts, proposals, and theatre use requests,
- counseling theatre clients including students, administrators, and other theatre staff and rental clients regarding upcoming productions and expectations.
- Manages the information trail from booking requests to close out of the event – including inputting billing information.
- Collaborates with various campus partners in order to support successful execution of events, these partners may include; fire and safety, University Student Centers, facilities, housekeeping transportation, as well as external vendors.

- Experience in theatre facility and use operations.
- Experience in event management and/or event venue operation and or support.
- Experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
- Knowledge of Event Management software, particularly Mazevo.
