General Summary

Sports Clinic Instructors will lead sports classes and/or clinics for elementary, secondary and high school age children under the direction of the Sports Center Coordinator and Community Recreation Director.

Specific Position Duties

  • Responsible for coordinating classes and clinic lessons/itineraries with the Sports Center Coordinator;
  • Instruct designated classes or clinic(s);
  • Ensure participants are supervised and safe during entirety of the program;
  • Engage with the program activities; and learn lessons/skills taught during the course.



Minimum Qualifications

Clinic Instructors must have excellent communication skills, be responsible and punctual, as well as able to be courteous, and professional at all times with participants and their parents/guardians. Class Instructors must also communicate proficiently with the Sports Center Coordinator to assist in planning and preparing for future events like clinics, workshops, play days and programs.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in supervising children and running sports programs alone is preferred. Extra and personal experience in their area of expertise before beginning leading their designated class or clinic is also encouraged.
