The Art & Design department at the Community College of Baltimore County seeks candidates for a 10-month full-time instructor position in digital photography, analog photography, and photography studio. Ability to also teach digital video and/or time-based media preferred. Current photography courses include: Digital Photography I & II, Fundamentals of Black and White Photography, Photojournalism, Photography Studio and Digital Video. In addition to a primary appointment in photography, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to teach additional foundations studio courses. The position responsibilities also include scholarship and research, student advising, college and departmental service, and oversight of the photography studios and equipment.Minimum Requirements
60-credit Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography or related field, active exhibition record and/or professional experience in the field. College-level teaching experience. Fluency in Adobe Photoshop, Camera Raw, and Lightroom. Community college teaching experience, photography lighting studio management, ability to teach courses in digital video and/or time-based media, thorough knowledge of contemporary trends in photography, and ability to use classroom technology and online learning management systems preferred. Two (2) years teaching experience required.
