Job Description

We have an opening on our Law School Admissions team for a dynamic and enthusiastic Associate Director of Admissions and we would love for you to join our team! At the Notre Dame Law School we see the law as more than just a profession. We encourage students to view the practice of law as a service to others, and to discover their unique roles in furthering the cause of justice.

The Associate Director of Admissions reports to the Director of Admissions and serves as an ambassador for the Law School. They will be responsible for employing strategies set out by the Dean and the Director to attract and enroll an exceptional and diverse incoming class. The Associate Director is responsibilities include the following duties:

  • Reviews and evaluates J.D. applications, and, with guidance from the Director, proposes scholarship award decisions consistent with strategic goals and defined budgets
  • Utilizing historical internal data, trends analysis, and national data, assists the Director in creating reliable and informative predictive models
  • Corresponding with prospective students, applicants, and others seeking information on admissions procedures
  • Holds in-person and virtual information sessions with prospective students, as well as attends in-person and virtual law fairs around the country
  • Works collaboratively with the Director of Admissions, assisting in development of strategic plans and serves as the back-up to the Director, as needed
  • Utilizing recruitment and marketing strategies, assists the Director with operating communication campaigns via email and other media, as well as optimizing CRM functions
  • Together with the Admissions team, plans and executes Different Kind of Lawyer Days for admitted students in the Spring
  • Assists the Director in creating a positive and welcoming environment
  • Manages Student Ambassadors
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4 years of admissions experience OR 2 years of admissions experience plus a J.D.
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, especially with spreadsheets, database management and modeling
  • Ability to assist with highly confidential processes and information
  • Team player
  • Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

  • J.D. preferred
  • Knowledge of LSAC’s Unite and/or other admissions CRMs preferred
  • Law school admissions experience preferred
