We are looking for a Student Programs Coordinator for the Center for Citizenship & Constitutional Government (CCCG).

Job Description: The Student Programs Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Center’s student programs, managing various initiatives, and facilitating communication within the community. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, and the capacity to work independently with minimal guidance. The Coordinator will interact with undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and university administrators while utilizing multiple ND applications and technology tools.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
  • Provide general administrative support for student-related programming and events for the Tocqueville Fellows and the 175+ Con Studies minors, including seminars and colloquia.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to build and communicate semesterly course schedules.
  • Compile information, coordinate cross-listing with other departments, and utilize course planning tools (ACM, CourseLeaf) for data entry and record maintenance.
  • Track expenses using GLEZ, update internal spreadsheets, and manage invoice payments through check requests and reimbursements in Concur.
  • Supervise 2-4 student employees supporting the Center and its programs.
  • Oversee the RA program, including hiring RAs and assisting faculty and grad students with RA hours tracking.
Event Coordination:
  • Plan and execute various events, including Tocqueville Fellows activities, Con Studies programming, student showcases, colloquia, research seminars, and the annual commencement celebration.
  • Manage logistics for the Center’s 1-credit courses featuring prominent speakers and support larger-scale events like the Statesmanship Dinner and special Democracy Initiative events.
  • Communicate with programming guests to arrange travel (airfare, lodging, meals) and process expenditures through university systems.
  • Reserve event spaces, make dinner reservations, and order catering. Oversee event setup and cleanup.
  • Coordinate with ExperienceND for larger events, including conferences and the annual alumni weekend at the CCCG.
Communication:
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to manage communications with the Center’s student communities regarding courses, events, and opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategies for engaging the growing community of CCCG-affiliated alumni.
  • Contribute to content creation for social media and the Center’s website in collaboration with the Associate and Assistant Directors.
  • Compile information, write internal reports, and update websites as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of related experience
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously with close attention to detail
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fast learner; ability to use and adapt to new technology and software applications
  • Experience with MS Office, Google Suite, CourseLeaf, contracts management and invoicing procedures for payment of vendors and service providers, project management tools such as Hubspot and Monday.com
